The Death of Major Nobby Clarke

Major Arthur ‘Nobby’ Clarke, who served with the Wiltshire Regiment from 1932 to 1955, passed away on 1st February 2018 aged 103.

Whilst a resident of Devizes since leaving the Army and then he resided at the Nursing Home in Market Lavington for the last 7 years.

The funeral service will be held at St James Church Devizes on Wednesday 28 February at 12:30 hrs.

The undertaker is John Stewart of Devizes.

Alan Robert Baynham-Jones who worked at the Reg. Museum for over 10 years although he was quite ill at the time he carried the Glosters standard with pride. He was secretary for the Forest of Dean for many years. He died May 22 nd 2017

The Death of Gerald Lancaster 1Wilts

The death of Gerald Douglas Lancaster Private Driver 19065157 Wilts Regiment 1946-1948

Bill as he was known all his life had the honour of driving the CO Basil Coad during his period of service in Germany. Bill would have celebrated his 90th birthday this year and thankfully although not in robust health spent only a very short period in Salford Royal Hospital.

His family would appreciate you letting comrades know of his passing. His funeral is being held at Peel Green Cremetorium Eccles on the 16th of February at 14.20.

Sgt David White suddenly passed away on Sunday 4th February 2018. There is no further information regarding his funeral at this time. Our condolences go out to his family

"It is with great sadness that I am announcing the death of my dad, Brian Fitz-Gerald. He passed away on Friday 2nd February 2018. He would have loved his old comrades to attend his memorial service, details yet to be confirmed. The Death of Ex WO1 Nigel Borlase Bandmaster 1 DERR

We are sorry to have to inform you that Ex WO1 Nigel Borlase Bandmaster 1 DERR passed away on 27/01/2018 after a long illness. We have also been informed that there will be no funeral as he has donated his body to medical Science.
