The Death of CSGT Terry (Sid) Boon - Glosters

Sadly we have to report the passing of former C/Sgt Terry (Sid) Boon, who passed away on 1st October 2020. Terry and his brother served with 1 Glosters, Terry (Sid) recorded as having served with the Anti Tank Platoon amongst his many appointments. In Roy Evans words "Terry was a top man, a good friend to all and will be missed". Condolences to Rosa and the family at this time.

The Death Of Ron Warren Glosters

Lawrence Whittle, Secretary of the City of Bristol Branch informs us of the sad passing of former 23400370 Pte.Ron Warren who served 1 Glosters 1957/58. B Coy and HQ Coy. Ron was a keen member of the Bristol Branch regularly attending all meetings and events. Ron Died on the 21st September 2020.

Cenotaph 2020 update

Cenotaph 2020. At the time of going to print, the Attendance has been reduced to a national figure of 2,000, with each Regimental Association being granted 8 marching places. With 30 members having volunteered it was inevitable there were going to be disappointments. Those eight have been notified and their registration with the Royal British Legion has been completed.
