1.The Service was conducted by the Ven Dr David Jenkins, Archdeacon of Sudbury, assisted by Lt Col Caroline Emmett, Adjutant General Corps (Education and Training Services)
2. The Re-dedication was to add the names of 3 local men killed in the second world war, to the Lidgate War Memorial.
3. The service was held in the church and at the refurbished War Memorial (in the church yard)

5.There were about 100 people at the service
6.Wreaths were laid by family, and the 3 Regt reps (incl me for the Royal Berkshire Regt)
7. I made contact with Jan Wade, who spoke about her Uncle in law– Terrance Hazell's very short life, died in hospital aged 18, following a training exercise.
8.The Last Post and Reveille were sounded by 2 members of the Buglers Association.
9. A moving and well organised day at Lidgate – including Tea/Coffee and home made cakes!!
PS :A special mention to my Son in Law Mark Goodman for getting me to Lidgate, safely and on time.
