Description
Dear All,
We hope you can join us for the much-anticipated 59-94 Club Lunch on Friday, 13th March 2026, in the Regimental Room of the Wardrobe, Salisbury Cathedral Close. The event will begin at 12:15 GMT with a welcome drink and a chance to reconnect with old friends, followed by our lunch.
The Regimental Room provides the perfect setting for our gathering, and we are excited to share a delicious menu prepared with the finest local ingredients:
Starter: Pea and Ham soup with a Bread roll
Main: Steak & Ale Pie with Creamy Mash and Seasonal Vegetables, accompanied by jugs of gravy
Dessert: Apple Crumble Pie with Vanilla Ice cream
Lunch includes pre-meal drinks and wine, with the cost anticipated to be around £50 per person. If possible, please bring the exact amount in cash, as this greatly assists the payment process. Should John return safely from his ski trip, he will settle our account and collect your payment at the end of the meal.
After lunch, those who wish can walk to the New Inn for more socialising. If you can't make lunch, you're warmly invited to join us there. Shared memories from previous events have always made these afternoons special, and I am truly looking forward to catching up with everyone and creating new memories together.
Please let me know if you can attend, if you are bringing a guest, or if you have any dietary requirements. For those attending less frequently, if you need details about parking, dress code, or directions from the local rail station, please mention it in your reply and I’ll be happy to provide further information. For those who already responded to my January email, I have your reply noted, so there's no need to respond again unless you wish to update your plans.
Let’s make it a memorable afternoon together. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.
Kind regards,
Bill
The lunch is open to anyone who served in 1 DERR in any rank from any cap-badge who was subsequently commissioned into any Regiment or Corps and all are cordially invited.
