Mr Fraser Monger, the son of Mr Anthony (Tony) Monger, has informed the Association of the recent death of his father at the age of 63 years.

 Tony Monger enlisted in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Royal Regiment in Slough in July 1979 and served for 14 years in the 1st Battalion in the West Germany (BAOR), Canada, Cyprus and Hong Kong, and in the UK, including on operations in N.Ireland.  He left the Army in October 1993.

Mr Monger’s funeral will be held at Barham Crematorium, Canterbury Road, Barham, Kent, CT4 6QU on Tuesday 9 June 2026 at 14:00 hours.  Mr Monger’s family have asked that any Old Comrades attending his funeral wear military headdress and medals and to line the route when Mr Monger is brought out to the hearse from 13.15 hours.  The address for the property from which he will be walked out is: 15 Kings Road, Aylesham, Nr. Canterbury, Kent, CT3 3HD.
